Borghese Gardens and Gallery Tour
The Villa Borghese must be in your visit list. It houses the superb private Borghese collection of sculptures and paintings in the Museo and Galleria Borghese. The Museo Borghese keeps the sculpture collection while the Galleria Borghese shows the paintings. You will enjoy among the others the Bernini’s Pluto and Persephone, Apollo and Daphne and Sleeping Hermaphrodite. Also, you will admire the Egyptian Room and Caravaggio: Boy with a Basket of Fruit, Madonna and Child with St. Anne, The Young Sick Bacchus, John the Baptist and David with the Head of Goliath. It will be really hard to decide whether to look at the decoration of the rooms or the sculptures and paintings in the walls! After this amazing visit, you will be taken for an enchanting walk though the Borghese Gardens (Villa Borghese): this is one of the favorite parks for all Romans and it’s a real paradise in the heart of the Eternal City. The tour ends with a breathtaking view from atop the Pincio Terrace.
